June 26, 2014 - WIPP continues to spread the word on the Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Procurement Program - this time in Milwaukee, WI.  The program included a panel of dynamic women business owners, moderated by WIPP’s Chief Advocate Ann Sullivan, which dove deep into contracting with three contracting officers and a prime contractor and presentations by PTAC and WWIBC.  At every event, more and more women are raising their hands when asked if they know about the WOSB program - so WIPP’s efforts are working.  The Congressional delegation in Wisconsin came out in full force. Representatives for Senators Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) and Ron Johnson (R-WI) and for Representatives Gwen Moore (D-WI) and Paul Ryan (R-WI) came to show their support for the hard working women business owners in their state. The Small Business Administration, the General Services Administration (GSA) and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) came to show their support, with the SBA Regional Director, Marianne Markowitz kicking off our session.
